Terms of sale

YouParle Guided French. Version of 5 November 2026.

This is a translation. The French version is the binding one.

1. Purpose

These terms of sale govern the subscription to YouParle Guided French, a French course that combines an AI teacher and a human coach, sold as a beta.

The Client accepts them by ticking the box provided before payment. They take precedence over any other document. This English version is a translation: if it differs from the French version, the French version prevails.

2. The seller

Franck Burlot EI, trading as YouParle (hereafter "YouParle")
SIRET: 10433740700019
Address: 58 rue de Monceau, CS 48756, 75380 Paris Cedex 08, France
Email: [email protected]

3. Who can subscribe

The offer is open to adults (18 and over) acting in a personal capacity.

To use it, the Client needs, at their own expense:

4. The service

The subscription includes:

During the beta, new features may be added at no extra cost.

YouParle undertakes to use all reasonable means to help the Client progress towards their goal. Passing an exam or reaching a level also depends on the Client's own work and cannot be guaranteed.

5. Ordering

The subscription starts with a free 30-minute call, to check that the offer is right for the Client. If it is, YouParle sends them a payment link. The contract is concluded when the Client accepts these terms and the first payment goes through.

YouParle then sends the Client an email confirming the subscription, with these terms and the withdrawal form.

6. The sessions

The monthly price is a flat fee. It covers every session that falls within the paid period: 4 or 5 depending on the month.

Session cancelled by the Client at least 24 hours in advance, holidays included: it can be made up within the two weeks before or after, at a time agreed together, with at most two sessions a week. If it cannot be made up within these limits, it is lost.

Session cancelled by the Client less than 24 hours in advance, or missed: the session is lost.

Session cancelled by YouParle (holidays announced at least two weeks in advance, or an unforeseen event): the Client chooses between a make-up session, within the same limits, and a €70 credit deducted from their next payment. If there is no time that suits both, it is a credit. If the subscription ends before the credit is used, it is refunded.

With the Client's agreement, sessions are recorded to make a summary, then the recording is deleted. Details are in the privacy policy.

7. Price and payment

The subscription costs €350 a month, all taxes included, whatever the Client's country. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code (CGI).

Payment is by card, through Stripe: once when subscribing, then every month on the same date. An invoice is sent by email after each payment.

If a payment fails, the Client is notified by email. Until it is settled, sessions are suspended. If it is not settled within 14 days, the subscription ends.

Founding price. The €350 price is guaranteed for 12 months from the start of the subscription. After that, any price change is announced by email at least 30 days before it applies, and the Client may cancel before that date. The founding price is lost on cancellation: a new subscription is at the current price.

8. Duration and cancellation

There is no commitment. The subscription is concluded for one month and renews automatically every month.

The Client may cancel at any time, online, with the "Cancel my subscription" link at the bottom of the site's pages (www.youparle.com/cancel), or by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid, with no pro rata refund (except for withdrawal, article 9). The sessions of that month remain available.

YouParle may end the subscription by notifying the Client by email at least 30 days in advance: the subscription then stops at the end of a paid period. In the event of a serious breach by the Client (for example, insulting behaviour during sessions), YouParle may end it immediately, refunding the unused part of the current month.

When the subscription ends, the Client keeps their course on their computer and can go on with the free YouParle system. Access to the premium voice features stops.

9. Right of withdrawal

The Client has 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving any reason.

To do so, they send a clear statement before the end of this period to [email protected] or to the address in article 2. They may use the form in the appendix, but do not have to.

By booking or attending a session during this period, the Client asks for the service to start before it ends. Going beyond what the law requires, they are still refunded in full, even if the service has started.

The refund is made within 14 days of receiving the request, using the same means of payment. The subscription then stops immediately.

10. The Client's commitments

The service is personal: the Client does not share their access to the premium voice features and does not use the content prepared for them for commercial purposes.

11. Third-party services

The AI teacher runs on services the Client chooses and pays for: their AI (for example Claude or ChatGPT) and Obsidian. Their prices, usage limits, availability and answers are the responsibility of these services, not of YouParle. An AI can make mistakes: when in doubt, the Client can ask by email or in a session.

If a change in these services stops the AI teacher from working, YouParle looks for a solution with the Client.

12. Legal guarantees

The premium voice features and the AI teacher are digital services supplied for the whole duration of the subscription. For any claim under the guarantees below, the Client writes to [email protected] or to the address in article 2.

The consumer is entitled to the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears during the whole duration of the subscription from the supply of the digital content or digital service. During this period, the consumer only has to prove that the lack of conformity exists, not when it appeared.

The legal guarantee of conformity includes the obligation to provide all updates needed to keep the digital content or digital service in conformity for the whole duration of the subscription.

The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay after their request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience to them.

The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or digital service, or end the contract and get a full refund in exchange for giving up the digital content or digital service, if:

1. The trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;
2. Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity is unjustifiably delayed;
3. The digital content or digital service cannot be brought into conformity without costs imposed on the consumer;
4. Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity causes significant inconvenience to the consumer;
5. The lack of conformity persists despite the trader's unsuccessful attempt to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity.

The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract when the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer then does not have to ask first for the digital content or digital service to be brought into conformity.

Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer is entitled to cancel the contract only if the contract does not provide for payment of a price.

Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable while being brought back into conformity suspends the remaining guarantee until the digital content or digital service is supplied in conformity again.

These rights result from articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French consumer code.

A trader who obstructs in bad faith the exercise of the legal guarantee of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be raised to 10% of average annual turnover (article L. 242-18-1 of the French consumer code).

The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French civil code, for two years from the discovery of the defect. This guarantee gives the right to a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is kept, or to a full refund in exchange for giving up the digital content or digital service.

13. Personal data

The Client's data is processed as described in the privacy policy.

14. Changes to these terms

Any change to these terms is announced to the Client by email at least 30 days before it applies. The Client may cancel before that date. A change in the Client's favour applies immediately.

15. Disputes and consumer mediation

In the event of a dispute between the Client and the business, they will try to resolve it amicably (the Client sends a written complaint to the trader or, where applicable, to the trader's customer relations department).

If no amicable agreement is reached, or if the trader does not reply within a reasonable period of one (1) month, the Client, as a consumer within the meaning of article L.612-2 of the French consumer code, may refer the matter free of charge, if a disagreement remains, to the competent mediator on the list of mediators drawn up by the Commission d'évaluation et de contrôle de la médiation de la consommation under article L.615-1 of the French consumer code, namely:

La Société Médiation Professionnelle
www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr
Alteritae 5 rue Salvaing 12000 Rodez, France

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. A Client who lives in another country keeps the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
