Who I am
I'm Franck. I'm an AI engineer with a passion for languages. In my career, teaching came first: I ran a Centre français in Ukraine, then an Alliance française in the Czech Republic, and I worked at the Institut français d'Ukraine. I know where learners get stuck.
Then I moved to AI. I hold a PhD in linguistics from the Sorbonne and spent more than ten years in research and development: machine translation, speech recognition, agentic AI. I know what an AI can do for your French and where it goes wrong.
I built YouParle for my own languages and use it every day. This beta puts both sides together: your teacher works with you every day, and I make sure it takes you where you want to go.

Questions before you book
Is this like private lessons?
Not really. In our weekly session we can work together like in a lesson. But you're not buying hours of lessons: you get a whole course, with a teacher that works with you every day and a coach who steers it.
I'm a complete beginner. Is this for me?
Yes. Your teacher talks to you in the language you choose, checks your level and starts from there. Our weekly sessions are in French, English or Russian.
What happens in the weekly session?
45 minutes by video. The day before, your teacher writes me a report on your week.
In the session, we look back at your week: what you did, what worked, what got in your way. We work together on what needs special attention. Afterwards I send you what your teacher needs to know so the week ahead follows your goals.
Do I need to be good with technology?
No. You install two apps: your AI's desktop app and Obsidian, a free app where you read your lessons. Then you paste one message into your AI and it guides you through the rest in plain words.
Which AI do I need, and what does it cost on top?
An AI that can work with files on your computer: Claude in Claude Code, ChatGPT in Codex, or another one. You keep your own subscription and can switch from one to another at any time: your course stays the same.
The entry paid plan should be enough: YouParle doesn't use much of your AI's limits. If you practise for hours every day, you may reach them. Then we find a solution together.
Where does my data go?
Your lessons, flashcards, notes and your teacher's memory are files on your computer. I don't see them. What I see is the weekly report your teacher writes for me, which you send me yourself.
Our sessions are recorded to make a summary, then the recording is deleted.
Your teacher runs on your AI: what it reads goes to your AI's provider, as in any conversation with that AI. The recordings sent to the premium voice features are not kept.

How do I stop?
Whenever you want: there's no commitment. Use the Cancel my subscription link at the bottom of the page, or email me. You keep your sessions until the end of the month you've paid for.
In your first 14 days you can change your mind and get a full refund, even if we've already started.
Your course stays on your computer and you can keep learning with the free YouParle system.
